The Oslo peace process of 1993 helped Arafat realize 4 billion dollars in donations from the U.S., the European Union, Japan, as well as Israel. Funds also flowed from PLO investments throughout the world.

Millions were received by Arafat from the Gulf states including $50 million a year from Saudi Arabia.

Investigators have followed the money trail to find out how the billions of dollars donated to the Palestinians cause have been spent.

The father of modern day Terrorism lavished money on friends, family members, as well as groups as Hamas, Fatah, Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Jihad.  Some cash found their way to the so called refugees but most of it went to finance "military operations."

Auditors discovered that Arafat was guilty of skimming $2 million a month from the gasoline trade.  Funds were located in corporations throughout the Arab world, bank accounts in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg.

In August 2002 the international donors forced Arafat to sign over at least 800 million dollars from the P.L.O. to the Palestinian Authority.

The most conspicuous recipient of his largesse was Suha his wife.  People familiar with Arafat's finances say that Suha received $200,000 dollars a month out of the Palestinian Authority budget for the office of the President.

French authorities are investigating transfer of 11.5 million dollars from Swiss banks to Paris accounts in Suha's name at the Arab Bank and at BND Paribas Bank, a French bank.

Between July 2002 and September 2003 European law enforcement came upon an additional 7 million of unexplained transfers from an Arab Bank account in Tunisia to Ms Arafat.

According to a Wall Street Journal article in 1986 Arafat shifted at least $200 million to an account at Arab Bank.in Tunis.  In June 2002, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Watan published documents purporting to show Arafat had deposited $5 million into a personal account under his name at an Arab Bank in Cairo.

The Arab Bank account in Paris was registered in the name of "Suha Taweel, spouse of Arafat." Taweel is Ms. Arafat's maiden name.

Arab Bank maintained a branch in New York City.  U.S. regulators uncovered improper money transfers from accused terrorist organizations and now the Arab Bank is closing banking activities in the Empire State.

The investigations continue.
